We collaborated with Logitech Design to develop the MX Creative Console – a set of programmable tools designed to give creatives greater flexibility, efficiency, and personalization in their workflow.
Creative professionals rely on a range of tools to bring their ideas to life, but traditional setups can be limiting. Logitech set out to create a system that adapts to individual needs, allowing users to fine-tune their workspace to match their process.
Our role was to work closely with Logitech’s design team to refine and bring this concept to life, focusing on industrial design, usability, and seamless integration into creative workflows. This highly collaborative process involved rapid iteration, problem-solving, and close coordination with engineers and product specialists to ensure a balance of form, function, and manufacturability.
Designed for creators, built for flow
The MX Creative Dial is a precision aluminium wheel that provides intuitive, tactile control over creative tools. Ideal for scrubbing timelines, adjusting brush sizes, or fine-tuning parameters, it offers smooth rotation with subtle feedback and seamlessly integrates with apps like Photoshop and Premiere Pro for a more efficient workflow.
The MX Creative Keypad features nine customisable LCD keys that adapt dynamically to different software. Users can assign macros or shortcuts, reducing repetitive tasks and streamlining workflow. With seamless integration into creative apps, it keeps essential controls easily accessible, improving speed and efficiency.
Our role was to support the in-house UX, CMF, engineering, and design teams through Detail Design. Working collaboratively, we tackled challenges through rapid sketching and iterative model-making, refining solutions in a hands-on, exploratory process.
Problem solving
We started with quick card models and 3D prints to develop further the concept into an easy to use and intuitive solution. Collaborating closely with Logitech in-house teams, we developed the design to balance the demands of user experience, look and feel, environmental impact and manufacturing requirements.
Shaping the creative process
The result is a flexible, intuitive tool designed to fit seamlessly into creative workflows. Developed through close collaboration and iterative problem-solving, it refines the way creators interact with their work.
